Title: | American Egret in mating plummage
| |
| Description: | Egret dispalying with mating plummage was photographed near sunset at the Heron Rookery in Venice, FL.Canon EOS# with 500mm IS Lens and 1.4x converter. | ||
| Comments: | The original scanned image was darker. A duplicate was made lightening the image and bringing out the foreground foliage. The duplicate was layered above the original image. A layer mask was created to preserve the darker spectral highlights from the original scan because lightening the duplicat image blew the spectral highlighs out somewhat. I could not even begin to do this before Barry's workshop. I'm not there yet, but I took a quantum leap. I would highly recommend Barry's approach to anyone interested in making better prints. | ||
