Driving up to Clouds Rest that day in Yosemite I didn’t expect to see anything but clouds. Just as I arrived the heavens opened up to reveal half dome off in the distance. The opening lasted only a few short minutes just long enough to allow me a few exposures. It was one of those experiences where, even though the weather was bad, I felt I was supposed to be there to capture an image that day. Like having good parking karma, a spot opens up just as you get there. This scene was shot using Fuji Velvia and my trusty Canon F1 camera with the 28mm 1.8 lens. I believe I used a tripod but don’t remember for sure.
