On my first visit to Crater lake I was amazed by its deep blue color. Early one morning, before the breeze stirred up the lake, I captured this image of the tour boat taking a group of cold travelers across the deep blue water. Crater lake is one of the deepest (1949 feet deep) and purest lakes in the world. It is also one of my favorite places to be and to photograph. This image was shot hand held in the 80s with my trusty Canon F1 camera and the 50mm 1.4 lens along with a 2X extender using Kodachrome film.
