The Classroom Set-up and Fees

Instruction is usually from 9 to 5, then (for some classes) the studio is open in the evenings from 7:30 until 9:30 p.m. for students to work on their own projects. A teaching assistant will be available from 7:30 to 9:30 each evening to help with scanning, printing or general questions. It is important that you bring your own projects to work on after class since this will allow you to crystallize what you have learned during the day.

The studio is equipped with a scanner for both film and flat art, a Macintosh Power PC computer for each student, several Epson ink jet printers (7600, 4000, 2200, and 2400). Each machine has a 100mb Zip drive and CD drive for you to bring and take away files and the lab is also equipped with a CD burner, a 5000K Soft-View print and slide viewing box as well as 5000k transparency viewers and track lighting of various color temperatures for viewing art prints.

The cost of each of the five day courses taught at our studio is currently $1,195 for the entire week ($995 if we get your check 30 days or more in advance) which includes the 9 a.m. to 5p.m. instruction each day, use of the studio after class Monday through Thursday from 7:30 p.m. till 9:30 p.m. with a T.A., and use of the scanners and printers in the lab (there will be a certain number of free prints allowed on each printer included in the course, over that amount there will be a small charge to cover our material and maintenance costs).
